OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T Start Getting OTA Update of OxygenOS 4.1 Based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat

Good news for all OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T Users. OnePlus is all set to roll out the OxygenOS 4.1.0 with Android 7.1.1 update for these two devices. If we recall, in the starting of the month, the company has released the latest OxygenOS open beta for these flagships.

OnePlus has been quite punctual with its scheduled updates for its OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones. OnePlus has now rolled out the latest OxygenOS update globally for both the smartphones. OnePlus is releasing the OxygenOS 4.1.0 update through an OTA (Over the Air) update with official support for Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The OxygenOS 4.1.0 update along with some improvements also comes with the latest March security patch for the two smartphones.

We have found the interesting changelog that comes with the new update. The new update will bring improved connectivity features for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In the photoshoot front, users will get enhanced blur reduction and good image quality for moving objects.

Further, this update will bring better video stability while recording. The OnePlus has added extended screenshots feature in this update.

According to the OnePlus Blog, “For those who were on previous versions for OnePlus 3T, we appreciate your active feedback and attempts to reach out to us. With your help, we have been able to better optimise and improve several key areas. As always, this OTA will be incremental. The OTA will reach a small percentage of users today, and we’ll begin a broader rollout in a few days.” Here is the complete list of changes:

  • Upgraded Android 7.1.1
  • Updated Google security patch to 1st March 2017
  • Added expanded screenshots
  • Improved picture taking of moving objects with blur reduction
  • Improved video stability when recording
  • Improved WiFi connectivity
  • Improved Bluetooth connectivity
  • General bug fixes
